Why do you include complimentary engagement sessions?
A.Engagement sessions are a chance for us to work together before your big day. So we can go over things you do and don't like and get to know each other some before we spend such an important day together. They also allow me to show you that it's not about just kissing, it's about your interactions together to capture you as the couple you are.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
A.Choosing how many hours to have covered is based on what you wanted to have captured. Getting ready to first dances is usually about 8 hours of coverage.
Time breakdowns:
-Bride getting ready is usually 1 to 1.5 hours
-Groom getting ready is half an hour
-Portraits (family photos, bridal party and bride & groom photos are usually 1.5 to 2 hours
-Reception with speeches into dances is usually 3 hours
Then factor in any travelling from locations as well.
What is your turn around time for images and video?
A.For engagement sessions, the turn around time is two weeks. For wedding photos, you'll receive a sneak peak within a week. Then for photos and/or video 8-10 weeks for the whole gallery in the peek of wedding season.
How many images will we get?
A.Every wedding is different therefore I never promise a set amount of images. I do promise to capture all the moments and provide you with a gallery of the best images to remember your day by. You'll also receive all your images in colour and black & white as I don't believe it's my choice to pick and choose.
Second shooter or not?
A.Having a second shooter gives you some added benefits - extra angles and moments captured, someone else to laugh and cry with but also an extra should an emergency happen and they need to step up for me. However, the day is very much doable without a second should you need a more budget friendly option.
Do you have a contract?
A.YES! It is a necessity to ensure everything is covered for your day so you have no worries in my abilities or that you're not left without a backup plan should an emergency arise.
What are your payment methods and the cost of the non-refundable retainer?
A.Payments can be made by e-transfer, credit card or cash. All payments are subject to tax no matter the payment method as I am a legal business.
A non-refundable retainer of 25% to secure your date is required for your date to be booked. I keep this cost lower because I know you are booking many vendors at once.
Do you have travel fees?
A.While located in Almonte, I travel within Ottawa, the Valley, Pembroke and Kingston. Basically within 2 hours of Almonte without any extra travel fees! Anything further is subject to travel fees (gas and lodging if need be).
How will we receive our images and video?
A.All images and/or videos will is delivered online digitally for you to download and share. Copies will always be available upon request.
Do you have suggestions for other vendors?
A.Yes, yes and yes! There are obviously preferred vendors I like to work with as I trust their work ethic and professionalism that I will gladly share with you to help your day come together.
What is your shooting style?
A.When shooting - photo or video - I like to take more of a documentary approach. I will help get you started/posed then walk away while chatting & joking and let the scene unfold. I want to capture you for who you are and don't want to force moments that otherwise wouldn't be there.
Why should we pick you?
A.Because I LOVE weddings! No seriously, they give me all the feels and make me so happy & full of excitement. I will capture your day as if it was my own, leaving no detail missed and be your friend though the whole process!
Content Creation?
A.Content creation is the newest thing couples are considering but how is it different from professional photography or videography? A content creator captures moments of the day from behind the scenes on your or their phone so you have stuff to post online. They are not producing full, posed galleries or full videos and therefore do not replace those services.
